Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Matianak had adjusted her path just enough, the ocean water lapping over paws for a moment. Her ears flicked, casting a glance over her shoulder. She knew never to be fully off her guard, even at home. Her pale eyes locked onto Blackthorne with a derisive snort at his words. "Just because one vocalizes their frustration at the one thing beyond their control does not make them mad," she said, turning to face her half-sibling. And technically cousin too wasn't it? Her tail flicked as an amused smile crept across her maw. "But you would know all about that, wouldn't you?" The mostly grey girl teased.

She was surprisingly not curious as to his presence here. They shared a home after all. It'd be more of a surprise if they had been anywhere but Glorall. "If anything, perhaps you ought to be worried. The madness may only be father to son," she said with a shrug, "But you aren't father. What does that make you?" She stood there unwavering. Thorne had no care for Umbra or Under, so what possessed him to approach her? Granted, she held no love for her litter mate, but she reveled in her father's approval. So, Matianak watched him as he stood there. As much as they might not agree, there was the off chance they could benefit from each other. She found it highly unlikely, but it never hurt to test the waters.
