He walked around the outer edges of the den, sniffing the ground as if he might come across trace signs of their scent. Of course it had been many many years since Eric or Seline stood in this domain so of course he wouldn't find anything, but still, the memories clung to the walls of this den. He sighed, looking around before he turned to Belhara. He hoped it would do for her, unless she wanted a different den but hell, they all looked the same to him. He was restless but figured she might want to rest for a while. They hadn't had enough time to pick a den when Arturio was in charge but maybe they could finally settle into the pack lands for a change. It was certainly different than Iromar. He only hoped she would learn to love it like he once did when he was much younger.
He thought about the new alpha. She almost reminded him of the Monster that ruled over Asteraia when he was a pup. She chose to keep herself nameless and she didn't talk a lot. She didn't have an imprint or a mate following her around like the Monster, at least as far as he could tell, but that could always change. He wasn't the determined little yearling he was when the Monster was in charge but he was still ambitious and determined. He wanted to make a life for Belhara and himself here. He wanted to have a family, someone to share his lineage with. The Satanican line had to continue. He would make sure of it. He'd heard rumors that maybe his sister Kattari would be coming to stay too. He would be lying if he didn't admit he was a little eager to see her again. She was blood, the only blood he had in Moladian now. He wondered what she knew of this new alpha. She must know something of her if she chose to come back and live here when she wouldn't stay in Iromar.
He was sure Diveen was probably still hunting her but at least she would be protected here by the pack. He would always protect her himself but she already knew that and still she'd run away. He wasn't even upset about her challenging Pine. He knew that was just how she was. He just wanted to know she was safe. He found himself wandering away from the den, letting Belhara know that he would be back soon. After rubbing his fresh scent on her to make sure everyone knew she was claimed, he ventured out into the fields. It didn't take him long to find one of the trees he used to climb as a pup and look out over the borders so he could ambush tresspassing pups. He smirked as he looked up at it before he launched himself at the tree. He expertly climbed into the branches and settled down, stretching out across the branch with a sigh. This brought back old memories.
