Eira may have been more drawn to Zion because he could speak and hear, but that did not diminish her love for her sisters. They were family, and while she might have gotten some odd looks when she had a sudden need to itch, as evident by the missing patches of fur under her armpits currently. Not that she was itching now, but it could change in the blink of an eye.
She giggled again as the water lapped at her toes. The salty air was a great smell. No wonder mother had kept living here. The brown and white girl's tail waved. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts and staring out at the ocean and the island in the distance she didn't even notice Badar edging towards her. Eira was caught by surprise as her sister knocked her over and into the water. The girl was quickly up, sputtering briefly as she inhaled a small bit of water with the splash. No anger lingered. Badar was already in the water with her in the shallows. Instead, she swatted water as her litter mate, splashing water about with a fit of giggles.
Eira bound a bit further down the shoreline, intent on making her sibling chase her. Until someone new joined them. Someone older, but apparently family. She tilted her head at the stranger, distracted from their game for the time being as he introduced himself. He talked kind of funny, but if he was an older brother, then Eira already decided that it didn't matter. It meant they were all special in their own way. "Hi! I'm Eira, and sister is Badar," the girl indicated her mute sibling,"Are you going to play with us?" she asked. Her voice as innocent as could be.
"And your newest friend too?" Eira gestured her nose towards the fox over his shoulders. While she understood some dead things, like rabbits and squirrels and such, because they were food, it did not occur to her that the fox was also deceased, let alone at Erebos' paws.
