The admission that the Peak was not of interest to the mare did little to incite in Lysimache the same response others might have sprung to. She doesn’t nip to claim, doesn’t get in a huff and bristle. The Peak was not her idea of ideal either and so she could hardly blame this girl for rejecting the idea offhand. She instead nods when the young mare proposes that the Peak was too cold and that she would be underappreciated in such an environment.
Lysimache herself had received no greetings at all when she’d come to the Peak. It was not a place to feel important, most certainly. She does not square up or even adjust her body other than to twist her mouth into something of wistful understanding. "I understand, and even agree. Not many know themselves well enough to see the difference of their worth and their usefulness. That you are keen to have both, I won’t try to sell you on the Peak."
She tilts her head to the side, "perhaps instead I can tell you of the other places you might be able to find such a value as you are looking for?" Her ears switch in opposing directions, not certain if such a thing was of benefit to someone who found her advice on the Peak unhelpful. "I have had my share of wandering, though I mostly keep an ear to the ground simply for self preservation… I have heard of a few places and a few popular choices amongst the leaders of the islands."
She looks consideringly to the teke-bred mare, happy to give but also just as happy as to walk away and allow her to go about her business.
