Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

For Dracana at least, the night past too swiftly. While she was rested, her muscles were aching. Mentally, she cursed herself for pushing such a run. The grey female rose quietly, having discovered Fate was sleeping near her. It was strange, having someone look to you for learning. Dracana had never had her own pups, so she never really knew the feeling, especially since dragons are a different story entirely.

Quietly, she stepped away and stretched she stiff muscles. As exhilarating as that run was, it still was too much in a short time. Again, she was grateful for her unbelievable stamina which helped her get through the worst of it, but that didn't change how she felt when she woke up.

The fae's green eyes shifted to Fate after a time. From there, she looked up the mountain with a smile. Breakfast first, and then they would start. Dracana was uncertain if the pup could hunt for herself, but even if she didn't, it wouldn't be difficult to root out some of the ground creatures that has built their homes near peak. Mice were always plentiful, but they wouldn't be filling for Dracana, Fate might enjoy them though. That in mind, the grey female put her nose to the ground and began to sniff out breakfast.

She came across a bush, and in it a pair of birds. Eggs? She frowned, knowing it was too late in the year, though the birds would prove to be a tasty morsel. Very carefully, she broke the branch the birds were settled on, pausing when they stirred. Dracana pulled the small branch out carefully before setting it down just as gently. In that same instand, her large paws were on top of the two creatures, both of which began to shriek in terror. #### things, so loud, she thought until they both finally quit moving, their bodies crushed beneath her weight. They were fat little things, and a species Dracana wasn't familiar with. Still, a nice snack none-the-less once you got past the feather. The wolfess picked the two dead birds up and made her way back to Fate.
