Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Pale, silvery-blue eyes peered over the cliff's edge, a white paw retracting quickly as the ice and rock gave way in a small spot. The young liger's ears lay flat against his skull, head lowering to the ground as he watched and listened to the rubble crash and tumble its way down the hundred or so foot drop. As the debris gave its final clash, the kitten stood back up straight, staring down momentarily into the tall, white capped pine grove that lingered below, giving a shake of his white, mowhawk-crested head and neck. With a final blink, the cub turned around, curiosity simmering down, not to curious what it would feel like to be falling down that cliff himself.

Squall walked slowly around the small, snowy white ledge that he blended into almost perfectly. Icy, silver-blue eyes darted here and there, looking for something interesting or out of the ordinary. However, all he saw way the fresh white blanket of snow (one which was still accumulating with drifting flake after drifting flake) and the thin, dark alcove in the rock face he'd been calling home for the past few nights. It was excellent cover for a young cub such as himself, at a high vantage point in an echoing area where he was more likely to notice strangers before they noticed him, but he was tired of waiting. Always waiting, waiting for the next meal or the next social encounter. All this waiting had him packing down the snow between the den and the ledge with pacing.
