Kieron's laugh was a shock to himself. he couldn't remember the last time he had laughed. it was deep and happy. kind of like the jolly laugh of santa claus. with ears forward, he took in all the lady's eagerness of words.
So she wanted to help? what a lovely idea. but he would have to come up with a bucket list of things to do first. the only thing that he could think of would be picking up branches. it was usually the small things that made a big difference. if they could get all the dead branches moved, then the sunlight that did penetrate through the trees would finally be able to reach the bottom of the forest floor so rain and sunlight could get green grass to cover the now dead ground.
"If you wish, I suppose we could go for a walk. go back and introduce you to your new home. i am warning you, it needs works, and it doesn't look too welcoming."
Kieron remembered her funny comment about feeling safe with him and chuckled to himself, shaking his crown slightly at the thought. her "good girl" appeal almost made him believe she wouldn't be taken aback by the sight of home. there was something calming about her demeanor that told him she would do just fine. maybe it was her eagerness to get going. maybe the fact that this was all new to her was enough to make the circumstances of home not as bad as it seemed to him. whatever the case, her anxiousness was rubbing off on him.
"If you would follow me, yscha. your home awaits you." ... ::||:: ... The sun was beginning to set by the time they got home. at the top of the hill, the main entrance he believed was meant to be to the forest, it overlooked the west. the rays that streaked through the trees and the light that bounced off the leaves, illuminated one breath taking moment. smiling, he looked to yscha. he wanted a first hand look at her response to the picturesque landscape before her, before continuing onward.
