When he didn't ask if she was blind, she was honestly very surprised. She thought, perhaps, it was a darker than usual night and he simply couldn't see the cloudiness of her eyes, or maybe, he was just naïve. No matter because, with a bob of her fine head, the mare agreed to follow him to the so called “Falls” to rest.
As she trailed behind him, she bumped her chin to his hip every so often to reassure herself that he was still there, constantly moving her ears too and breathing shallowly so she could hear every time his hooves crunched on the crisp grass. Going to the Falls sounded like a wonderful idea at the time and when they had finally reached them to rest, after what seemed like an eternity, the rushed, peaceful sound of water filled her ears and once the stallion stopped, it instantly hushed her to sleep.
After Georgiana rested, the nameless stallion lead her back to his home. She made extra effort to keep up with him when they crossed the freezing cold ocean; not out of fear of dying, but out of not making it to her new home, she wasn't one to raise her hopes to unreasonable heights but she was indeed excited by the prospect of actually having a home, you could even say she dreamed of it that night in the falls.
Once she pulled herself ashore the pale woman shook the water from her shaggy coat and listened out for the stallion.
“My name is Georgiana.” She told him with her normal voice; clear and deep, but not to the point of being masculine.
“I'm blind.”
She wasn't sure where he was but she decided to tell him anyway, it is the truth and Georgiana didn't mind admitting it; she knows what she is. Even if by now he had already guessed, she felt it needed to be said either way.
