You dismissed the Vermont report after one of the two DNA reports came back as coyote. The other cougar. I think the witness that saw them, the tracks, and the state official verifying the tracks, the scat size, and all else are enough to overcome one bogus DNA test. DNA tests of scat can often turn up DNA of animals consumed. What if it came back turkey? May have been switched, who knows. The bar gets moved higher whenever significant evidence is found short of a road kill that cannot be dismissed.
