we could be strangers in the night

YOUR LOVE IS ALWAYS DANGEROUS
and now i'm lost in us

Only Kikka.

Zevulun decided he liked her even more than he had initially. Losing his mother (and twin sister), Zevulun was practically raised by his father and his two sisters, one of which was headstrong and fiery-tempered, bringing Zevulun up in a world where a mare reigned just as equally as a stallion. In fact, because this was his world, Zevulun wasn’t aware it wasn’t a natural occurrence. He readily assumed everywhere and anywhere the ladies took charge just as Mariael did here in the Bay.

His ears were turned forward and he watched her as she asked her questions regarding his home. A snort of laughter left him and he shook his head, finding the last question to be somewhat amusing. “The Bay is so much more than just sand and grass and trees and this brook!” He said, glancing over his shoulder and gesturing with his pale-pink nose further inland. “The ground rises, the mountains reach high enough to touch the sky, and everywhere you explore you can find something new.” His gaze swung back to her. He thought of telling her of the natural hot springs, but really those were most fascinating during the late autumn and through the winter.

“I suppose you could cover it in a day, if you wanted to. I walk the border either every morning or night.” Speaking of walking the border reminded Zevulun of his very important duty here in The Bay as his sister’s queensguard (horses set to protect the Bay and its inhabitants, which could be made of both mares and stallions but currently only included Zevulun). He narrowed his eyes curiously at her. Mariael often reminded him even a mare could be a threat, so no matter how pretty he thought she was, he should exercise caution when speaking with her.

He didn’t want to, he wanted to give her every answer she required in the hope she’d think of him as favorable company. But… loyalty to family and whatnot.

“Why do you want to know about The Bay?” He asked, a touch of suspicion flavoring his tone.
