Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

insanity is all around us

”It is time for you to make your own way, son. I’ve gotten an iron hold on this land and now we will expand. I am old, and greying. It is you who must go.” Blackened auds flickered as if he could actually hear his father’s departing words. Sent off like a load of treasure, or maybe deployed like a soldier. As the prince of darkness it was only right. Kashan Han understood this, more so than his brothers had and yet, to leave his homeland? To strike out on his own and honor his family’s name? It was nothing if not daunting.

Hooves beat in quick succession against the ground, his lithe form quick like a gazelle though he felt more like a bird. Spreading his wings and flying for the first time. The farther he travelled, the more sure he became. Cranium held high, chest puffed with pride and his beautifully sculpted face masked by shadows as the sun set in the clear sky. The buckskin did not take his time to admire the land he had come to take hold of nor did he idle near the crossing lands. There would be plenty of time for that later. First, he would need a home and he had exactly one place in mind. During his time in his homeland they had received many reports of many different lands, but this one, The Lost Islands they called it, was the one that beckoned and called to him. As if it knew it would be his. None of his brothers had felt as pulled to any one place. Kashan believed that destiny, in all her beauty, had summoned him.

In the reports, he heard tales of a Lagoon, ran by the toughest men among the islands. Marshy, and perhaps slightly disgusting. It would do perfectly for his beginnings. In arriving, the musk of other stags filled the air. The humid air seeming to drink in each scent and then exude it’s own unique smell. Mud began to suck at his feet, slowing his pace.

Nearly as soon as he’d crossed the threshold, the teke’s ears pricked at the sound of another male’s call. Though his journey had been uneventful it was time to begin his work and legacy. Whoever the brute was would know who Karash Han was if he too lived in this marshland.

It didn’t take long for his dark legs to bring him to the other, a dunalino with less refined features than his own and standing a hand taller. The stallion breathed in deeply, neck arched proudly and his blue orbs observing the finer details of the first equine he was to meet.
”Karash Han, prince and son of Erlik. And you are?” He flicked his tail across his side and narrowed his eyes. Would the men of this land live up to the reports? Or were they simply the lazy?
