sent from the heavens above...

He hated that he didn't know what had happened to his family in his absence. He couldn't stop thinking about the way he left things with Solaris and how Galexia must have so many questions about why he wasn't around to play with her anymore. He so missed his play dates with his daughter. She had quickly become a huge part of his life and he didn't want to lose that. He couldn't. She's better off without you. They both are. The voice chided and Angel clamped his jaws in agitation as he swished his tail and shook his head. "No, no, I can't believe that. Galexia needs her father." He murmured to himself more than anyone else as he made his way to the shoreline. He was meaning to go to Paradise and speak to his family, spend some time with them before he decided what he was going to do. He didn't know if Rougaru would allow him to stay there with them but the protective father in him wanted to demand that Rougaru couldn't keep him away from his daughter, not willingly.

You're not a fighter. You never were. He sighed in agreement, knowing the voice was right on that, but it didn't mean he couldn't try. He had to, for his family. As he came upon the shores, he thought he came across a familiar perfume and his head snapped up, nostrils flaring. "Solaris?" He questioned no one in particular, the air eating his words as he glanced around but saw no one. He shook his head with a snort. It must just be because he was thinking about them. He was going crazy. You mean more crazy than usual? The voice teased and he snorted again in response. He was just about to lunge into the water and take frostbite to get to them when he heard a voice on the wind. He tensed and turned back toward the Inlet. He knew that voice. The words were almost lost in the wind but he swore he could make out "I love you." His ears flicked back and forth in uncertainty as he tried to find the source.

Then he made out the bay and white figure standing in the distance and he couldn't help himself. "Solaris!" He cried out, not caring who heard as he reared up and launched forward, racing toward her. Suddenly, the cold and the chill biting at his skin didn't matter. His eyes were only for her. He gave out a nicker as he got closer, his gait only slowing as he came upon her and circled around her in a lope before he didn't hesitate to move against her side in an embrace, just wanting to touch her and breathe her in. Of course, he got a big whiff of a land not Paradise and another stallion, which was like a big slap in the face for him. He jerked back, eyes questioning as he stepped back to look at her. See? She went running back to another stallion the minute you were gone. Good riddance. Confusion clouded his vision as he shook his head and tried to focus on Solaris.

"Solaris, H-how are you here? Where's Galexia? Is she being watched in Paradise?" He glanced around as if to make sure he didn't miss her but he was sure he didn't see Galexia's pretty figure with Solaris. She came alone. He could make out her bulging stomach and knew she was getting ready to drop soon too. A part of him hoped the foal inside her was his, too, but there was still that nagging feeling in the back of his mind that told him she smelled differently the last time she came to him to breed. Still, he could hope. He was worried that she traveled in her condition. "Shouldn't you be resting?" He gently chided her, still happy to see her again as his expression softened. There was still that odd smell of another island though and it was bugging him. "Where have you been? You don't smell like Paradise." He couldn't help but give in to his curiosity. His gaze searched her pretty features, looking for answers.
