As Raptor grew more independent, Illusion had more confidence to let her go out of sight and learn how to be her own horse. She had every confidence that her daughter was going to do great things on the islands and she hoped to see every bit of it. Meanwhile, she was growing closer to Bahadir and hoped to see him develop into the strong stallion and leader she knew he could be. Sure, he and Shaydowfax had their issues, but she wouldn't be in the middle of it. She chose the Dunes as her home when Shaydowfax brought her here and while she adored the golden dapple mare and trusted her as a dear friend, she would not leave her home and her daughter. Bahadir was a good stallion with a kind heart. He wanted the best for the herd and the mares in it and she believed in that and wanted to see where it went. As autumn came, she felt her hormonal urges and followed them to him.

She feared it might be awkward, approaching him like that, but Bahadir had a way of making everything easy and flawless. She was trusting him more with each passing day and felt he would give her a strong foal. He would be a great father, too, she had no doubt. Raptor's father might not be involved in her upbringing but that was okay. She still had a male role model with Bahadir around as well. She maneuvered around the dunes, plucking at grass but she wasn't really hungry. No, today she was just....restless. Looking around, she wondered if any of the other herd members were out and about. She had yet to really meet anyone since Shaydowfax and she'd just found out her other friend Desirie was going off to find an old love. She hoped Desirie found everything she was looking for.
