The Sunday morning car theft that resulted in a Fairway Police Officer’s death, like many others, was the result of someone leaving their vehicle running in front of a QT while gassing up or making a purchase inside.
Why is no one reporting this element of the Sunday morning shooting? Why aren’t reports of the car theft urging people to NOT leave their vehicles running while making QT purchases?
Why can’t we remind drivers – like we used to – that NOT shutting their vehicles down and NOT pulling keys from their ignitions causes car thefts that often result in the death of people like Officer Oswald?
