GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

The mare doesn’t lace her ears back into her mane, nor offer him seething words. Instead, she looks at him almost the same way she had looked at the sea. When she lifts a forehoof, Garmr feels his excitement surge, and it is all he can do to reign himself in. Young, he has barely learned the meaning of patience, and it is a strain to use it now. Still, he simple stands and waits for her answer, before they are interrupted.

Even though the stallion puts himself between them, Garmr’s eyes linger on the mare and the way she seemingly cows away. Her head down, the look covering her face, he wonders if he might still be successful if he tried. But Garmr’s excitement has doubled now that the stallion had showed up, and his patience with the mare has disappeared as he all but forgot her once he looked to the buckskin who looks as eager for a fight.

“Mmmm.” Garmr hums, his green eyes glinting with something as new as the stallion’s presence. The sound he had made as satisfying as if Garmr had experienced the best meal of his life. “Look at you. Aren’t you gorgeous. More so than the one I challenged for.” The draft takes a step forward, eager for the fight he might get, but not the one to start it this time. “You’re quite mistaken. The Prairie seems to have everything I want.” His green eyes pointedly drift down and then back up, as if looking over the muscle and charm of the Second in Command.

Finally, Garmr’s gaze goes back to the mare, even if she won’t look at him. Even if she is disgusted with the beast she surely now realizes he is. “I will be back. All you need to do is ask, should you change your mind.” When Garmr looks back to the stallion, he offers him a smile, a hungry look now in his eyes, before he turns and enters the water alone.
