Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The black stallion walked quietly beneath the dense branches of the canopy. Occasionally, a macaw would squack harshly above his head as he passed, elliciting a harsh upward glance and the flick of an ear. As his time spent in the Lagoon went on, the young Appaloosa grew steadily more familiar with the landscape and twisting paths through the trees.

It was how he'd first discovered the golden lady shortly after her arrival. This was also how he'd known where to find her, despite the way she avoided the more concentrated areas of the men who lived here. The uniquely spotted male had watched her deteriorate the longer she stayed a captive. Her gilded tones had been what first drew him in as every member of his family was nearly black in spite of the varying white patterns.

Her silence and seemingly numb stares off in oblivion made him greatly curious. What did she think about day in and day out as she avoided them all? She fascinated him. So, today -- unlike all the days he'd let pass before -- the young stallion stepped forward from the verdant landscape.

His eyes are filled with curiosity, but Alioth doesn't close the distance like a more aggressive brother would have. The soft scent of her so near distracted him a moment, allowing him to observe her. There is less of a secret in his gaze that he desires something of her, be it answers to his insatiable curiosity of her inner workings or the satisfaction of baser needs.

"What do you think about, lady?" It is an honest, matter-of-fact question. His tones are calm and steady while his eyes rove over her golden skin and its little hollows. He mustn't press her, lest she decide to avoid him, too. Then he'd never know.

Alioth
