Blinking open creepy eyes with black ears slowly spinning forward, the black beast eyed the distance. Black lips twitched with the urge to bite down on something. Back teeth ground together as a hung leg ached and drug on the jungle floor, unable to work correctly this summer afternoon. Long strands of black tail lashed out against thick haunches, swatting and snagging at blood sucking flies.


Turning his head with one ear flicking a different direction, Lucifer listened to the jungle. His large frame shifted very slowly, changing course to the direction of splashing water. He was curious, but the dark beast didn't let his curiosity be known. Instead, Lucifer roamed as if he was just strolling, not actively moving in the direction of the sound. It wasn't wise to lay all cards on the table and at this moment, Lucifer was building a royal flush.


Pushing through foliage and bearing birds atop singing, Lucifer stopped. His hooves were dead still as he slowly tilted his head, catching the sight of a young girl. Narrowing his red gaze, Lucifer pondered for a moment before his body turned away. She wouldn't be fun to play with, especially belonging to Annubis. Lifting his head and searching however, the stallion changed course. His hooves moved as he once again searched.


Looking for the child's mother, Lucifer didn't have to waste too much time. Coming from behind, the black beast purposefully broke a fallen branch under one of his dinner plate sized hooves. Blinking his eyes and tilting his head to the side as he eyed this woman, Lucifer pulled in a breath. “Oddly brave… letting a child play in a pond.”
