He had made a habit of going to the commons to scout out new recruits. This has been his mission since deciding to keep Pandemonium (and even Cholena at the time) as his own. He had to follow the Boss's decree and add to the Lagoon's male numbers. It was more difficult finding lost stallions than it was mares. He saw many young mares looking for herds, but not many young stallions seem to roam. He wonders if it was a whole pandemic thing that more females were being born. Or perhaps stallions were just staying home instead of getting kicked out of their herds.

Whatever the reason he was on the look out. It was as he was heading back home empty hooked that he comes upon the young maiden. Her scent was of the Lagoon so he quickly heads in her direction just in case he was aiding in an escape attempt. At this point in his life he was unsure which side he would fall on. Help the mare's escape their fate or help his brothers keep their pretty faces. The later might score him some needed points, but he also knew Garmr has already made up his mind.

Her oddly marked face came into view with those pretty blue eyes that remind him. They have never spoken, but he remembers seeing her around as a young filly attached to her mother's hip. Born and raised in the Lagoon just as he had been, but did she deserve to still be here? "Where are you going?" He asks with green eyes watching her from where he now stands. Not close enough to touch, but close enough they were within speaking distance.
