Blood in the water

Addison couldn’t find it in herself right now to feel empath for anyone, not with her sour mood and low self worth. She didn’t response to his words, didn’t know what to say to be honest.
She unconsciously flinched when he touched her, mumbling a soft ‘sorry’ in return before settling herself.

She wasn’t sure what she was suppose to do now so just listened, trying to take his words in and work out the instructions. With his touch on her it was easier to work out what direction he was indicating, as she gingerly started to take small steps backwards, still worried about hitting something even with his guidance, it was natural for her to weary, especially when she was at the mercy of those around her.

Using her nose to attempt to map the trees that were in front of her, she soon found herself loosing the map in her head, whilst trying to reverse, listening to…. huh she realised that she didn’t know his name. With all her hostility they hadn’t exactly gotten to the pleasantries of introductions. She would need to correct that and maybe apologies to him for how she had acted, after all he had stayed to help her, she’d given him every chance to decide she was more trouble than she was worth but he hadn’t taken the bait. Underneath all the despair, hopelessness and feeling like she couldn’t do anything without someone to aid her, deep down was still the well mannered mare she had always been.

Realising that she must be out of the trees she stopped, looking around. To her left she could only see bright light, straight ahead the bright light now had bits of black in it, turning her head to look right she was met with the same bright light, indicating space but this time there was a dark blob which she presume was this unknown stallion.

Urmm thank you she said quietly, feeling a little odd now, not sure what to do. She was still young and so her interactions with unknown horses had been fleeting, she’d never even left home. Well not until… No, she wouldn’t think of that she couldn’t allow herself to get caught up in her past feelings.

Shaking her head she took a steadying breath in I..I’m Addison her voice was quiet, but loud enough for him to hear as she asked I.. urmm.. sorry I.. I don’t know… your.. name she said, her voice hesitant.
