The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

DARIEN “I only want,”
VALENTINE “The best for me.”

We can only imagine his growing excitement as whatever it is he follows begins to strengthen, his movement becoming hastier and his eyes taking on a fevered sheen. It isn’t long before his frenzy comes to a stop. Darien, he’s never been lonely, that’s just not something he possesses, or would wish to possess, his emotions are much curter than most people’s, but if he knows anything, it’s his will to mend that itching on his rump, and the only way (in his mind) to do that is to join himself with his immediate relatives. He does love his siblings, but even as a young child, he’d felt the need to do it himself, his way, on his own. Favoring power figures, he’d always idolized his big brother and strained to be like him, in some way or the other. Eventually, his self-righteousness out grew him and became his undoing and- actually, we’ll leave it to you to figure the rest out. Back to Valentine’s progress, he’s finally reached the clearing. ”Home”. The trickle of salty breathe was meant for only his own ears, and should only reach his unless anyone had listened too closely. Composing himself, Darien slipped from the late night drifts, dark fingers dripping off him as they receded- giving way to stronger beams of moonlight, his emotions shuttered in order to mask the affection he felt, assuming a stony one in place of light-headed delight. Oozing through the assorted wolves dotting the arena, to which he had each an opinion and fascination, if only to by their blood, his evasive arc seemed to falter, if only by a few inches, when he passed by the blithely hued male- Eric. Vampire. Reaching his family, he touched each that had formed the small group, whether by a stroke of his tail or a brush of his pelt, and in so many words saying “Hey, guys, I missed you” before reaching his brother Damon, to which he offered an admiring gaze and silence. In turn, his attention was drawn to a younger sibling- Sakari Dashi, her body writhing under who, by her assertive stance, he would only assume was an alpha. A second presence of authority emitted power somewhere in the area, but he was too preoccupied with the danger that had become his familial playmate. Taking in the statures of his own, he found each stiffened in anger or disapproval, and felt both drifting together. Not offering any words of his own, the malevolent gladiator knew he’d let it go on as long as she remained for the most part unaffected. *First person* Surely, whatever she’d said to deserve the queen’s wrath was in the name of jest- I’d never known her to be anything but a loyal, lighthearted creature that perhaps used the innocent look she’d been gifted with to her own advantage, and the heritage we shared supervened in my protectiveness. However much I was enjoying the buzz being near them satisfied me, I wouldn’t want the pack Damon had chosen to have us come off as, well, intimidating- even though my brothers and sisters appeared to have made quick work of that for me, the startled, suspicious glares boring into our fur attesting to their handiwork. I’d already started towards the gravitational pull of the vampire, at least the one that wasn’t related, insentiently. Mounting a putrefied stump that had been splintered to be level to the earth (which I assumed was to assure no one could attain a height more complex than the alpha herself) a few yards away from him in order to give me my own allotted personal space, I spared him a passing one-over. Everything about him seemed aggressive, mocking, a fault finder, but all the same just be looking at him you could sense the danger underlying it. If I hadn’t been mistrusted so many times by summed up personalities and wrong conclusions, I would have held the same notion for him that the others had held for me. Near the stone itself, I picked out the source of command I’d felt earlier. A reddish combatant, his mien twisted in irritation, and I noted the similarity between his injured tail and crossness- they both stuck out. Labeling him as an intolerant, dominant figure I assumed he would be the one we’d have the most difficulty with, should the alpha let us through with the mischief we’d caused already. I could sympathize, honestly, my own urges creating an inner battle I could feel myself weakening against, but I’d managed to keep it under lock and key, veiled from the prying, judgmental eyes. We were in alien seas, and to my knowledge should be able to keep ourselves together at least until we’d been accredited to our titles. Again, I felt myself drawn to check on my sister, becoming more aggravated by the passing second. I wasn’t afraid of her getting injured; I was afraid that we’d end up denied from the pack because we’d responded poorly to her being hurt. Even then, I trusted that Damon would handle things. After all, we were vampires, and we had a way with words, and teeth.
