The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Perhaps it was maybe the time of day that some wolves should have been getting ready to sleep and relaxing by Leisure Lake or trying to seek out something within Blossom Field; another wise choice would have been to go to Misty Mountain, considering that the cold up there would have been a wonderful contrast feeling with the hot sun. Yes, those were all wise choices, but some wolves were driven to places that might not have been the best choice but could have been the best choice as well.

Cavern of Secrets; a place that was cool and dry but could have possessed creatures that were not imaginable. Bittersweet; yes, that was the word. The way the danger lurked and pricked the back of a wolf’s neck and the way it made some spin around and demand for the invisible creature or being to show itself. However, the cool inside and the lust for seeking adventure and something to do was undeniable. Yes, quite undeniable. Zev had wanted to seek something out that was farther within the shadows. He wasn’t a dark person, of course not; sometimes he wouldn’t be able to see something in that dark as well as one who had lived the darkness their whole lives. Perhaps. Anyway, he wanted to investigate the staircase of rock that climbed to the top of an inner clearing. Maybe there was something up there that needed time to be uncovered. Plus, he was quite alone and would need some adventure to lift his spirits from the shadows that held them tight.

He looked forward, his icy blue gaze piercing the walls of the cavern and almost waiting for them to melt away. Of course, that would be foolish of him, and he blinked and turned away. He continued to walk into the cavern to see if he could find the underground clearing he was looking for. The pathway he took was thin enough to the point where a group of wolves would have to walk single file down the walkway. Soon, the low ceilings opened up so it was hard to tell if the top was the ground or if it was a hill in the earth itself. How could one find out, anyway? He turned and his darker cloak blended in quite well to the shadows, his huge paws being careful of where they stood and stepped. He walked forward, hearing the gentle sound of water droplets hitting the ground to build up columns that could reach the ceiling. He bent his head down so he could sniff it, and it smelled to be filled with something sweet, like sugar. He dared not slip his tongue out to see if his hunch was correct, knowing something could happen if he did so and he wouldn’t make it out of the cavern alive.

He searched the walls to find the staircase he was seeking, and found something like it on the far side. Like the one before, it was similar to what he wanted to find, but the rocks jutting out from the wall were much too small, leaving room for three pups to sit and chat on each of them. He had not noticed these since the last time he had entered the cavern, but it is also true that some things could only be found after the second look through in a journey. He jumped on one just for good measure, and found that it shook slightly and dust clattered down to the ground in his wake. Yes, the one he wanted to find could suit a weight of a bison, and this quivered in fear was he layed his rear on it for a rest. Yes, he needed to keep looking. He jumped down from the pillar and his legs surged forward, pads keeping time with the water that was leaking down from the ceiling. Before he took another step, he felt the force of a being walk right into his black bodice, its fur entwining with his before it was pulled away. He turned himself around and looked at the being who stumbled upon him in the dark. From the size of the lupine, it was a fae, and the darkness kept his eyes from seeing what color pelt she wore. Of course, his was a light black and harder to see, giving one of the possible reasons she bumped into him.

By the way she smiled, the brute could tell she didn’t speak much. Otherwise, a lyric or two could of been heard to say whoops, sorry. I didn’t see you there. or Pardon me, it seems that I didn’t see you when I walked in. He didn’t find it rude or anything; it was just one of his observations, and he smiled back to her, though it would have been hard to make out the smile upon his kissers. “Sorry, I don’t think I saw you behind me. I was focused on finding something within these depths and I am sure I wouldn’t have known you were there if you hadn’t bumped into me. My name is Zev. Who are you?”
