At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

ooc; i'm not sure if you wanted to play it out that she's been gone for a while, or pick up around where we left off, so i kept it pretty open for that. just take it as you feel like and ill follow.

ic; “Lost it again.

Zelda remarked beneath her breath as she realized the trail of the rabbit she had been hunting had was growing thinner and thinner. She was so certain that this time she had locked onto the right scent, but it seemed she was chasing only ghost trails. How she managed to find so many old scent trails, and not a new one, baffled her sometimes. She was a fairly efficient hunter when it came to taking the prey down, however that didn't make much of a difference if she couldn't find the damn thing in the first place. She sighed, and let out a frustrated huff at the ground. The young female was fully prepared to turn around and return to the meadow that laid on the outskirts of Blossom Forest's hunting grounds, hoping that maybe she could pick up a slightly fresher trail this time. She took a few steps back where she'd come from before she caught the quiet, steady noise of water.

Her lips turned up into a small smile when she realized where she was. The brown and gray wolf turned to her left, cutting off of the main trail, and she picked up her pace to a jog. Within a couple minutes she was breaking through the trees at Staircase Falls, one of her favorite locations in the world. In her early days in Blossom Forest, she used to sleep in some of the bushes that were near here. It was a fantastic structure, a staircase made of stone with water constantly cascading over it. At the bottom was a large pool where water collected. Her gold eyes scanned it from top to bottom, enjoying the transparent glisten from the sun reflecting from the water. She walked up to the pool, and immediately began lapping up some water. It was refreshing, after all, a day of failed hunting would make any wolf parched. After drinking her fill, she simply peered down at her reflection for a moment. It wasn't very clear at first, since her drinking caused the water to move, and it hardly looked like a picture at all. Slowly the water settled and she could see herself just fine. Finding a pool of water like this was the only time a wolf ever got to see themselves, so it kept her intrigued. At first she turned her head either way, looking at the sides of her faces. Then she stuck her tongue out, and back in. Before she knew it she was making the strangest faces she could manage at the water to herself, and Zelda completely lost track of her surroundings.
