Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The world is a new, fresh place. Viora is but a pup, small and insignificant, among the vastness of the world around her. She does not want to be constrained to her den any longer, no. She wishes to be free. She wishes to explore and to feel the wind flow through her puppy pelt. She was not significant in the grander scheme of things, but this was still her life. She cannot control her urges and her desire. She is wild as she is born in the wilds of Glorall. Today, the young girl had escaped the confines of her den. The dirt walls and the stench of her family were enough to get her moving on her creamy grey paws. The moment she was out, her blue eyes were wide in awe as she stared up at the sky. It was beautiful on this morning. The clouds were big, bright and creating all sorts of patterns on the sky. At the mouth of the den the girl stared, blinking with her mouth open slightly. She wanted more. Yes, she wanted to see more.

Devilishly, the girl looked back and forth, searching for anyone who may try to impede her march. Seeing the coast being clear, apparently, she grinned deviously as she jumped out the den. Her growing limbs moved with whatever grace she could muster, which is not much at the moment. She stumbles and trips upon rocks, grass, even just herself. She didn't care though. Her amazing blue orbs were glued to the beautiful cloud studded sky. She wanted to go higher, to see more. Her constant staring at the sky didn't help her from tripping. This one particular trip has her falling suddenly, he lovely brindle touched face smashing into the ground, accompanied by a girly yelp. Damn these limbs! Damn them and their...bigness and growing. She snarls lightly to herself as she pulls herself up, little teeth biting at her paws to...punish them for defying her.

Her attention didn't focus long on her paws at all. A bug of some sort floated past her, catching her blue eyes as her teeth sink into her own paw. She paused to look at it, before a giggle sprung from her throat. The grey female gained a playful, yet determined look on her face as she began to chase the bug. She raced through grass, her paws flailing in the air as she made random attempts at hitting the thing out of the air.

Of course, the bug was keen on the fact that a wolf puppy was swatting ferociously in its direction. After a moment of chase, it flew up higher into the sky. This led Viora to stop, wiggling her backside as she wound herself up. Suddenly, she jumped up after the bug, failing miserably while doing so and landing right on her belly. She snorted, wrinkling her nose unhappily as she watched the bug fly off. Of course, this led her eyes back to the beautiful clouds once more. She didn't realize the bug had led her to a small clearing, where the white clouds were more obvious on the blue of the sky. She lay on her belly, sprawled out awkwardly while her tail wagged behind her. For now, she would be content to watch the clouds for a moment, taking in their ever changing forms. It was good to be out of the den, and alone. She didn't expect anyone to ruin her peace.
