Irritable from the pup who dared to get in his way, and denied him a few minutes that he could have spent feeling... Happy. True, it was a chemical happiness, somehow naturally embedded in these flowers, but it was better than the rest of his life. And they made him forget what would never fucking disappear and finally let him be. He looked about nervously, the midnight brute could swear he heard her call his name. Was this just the deprivation of an addiction? Shaking his head and muttering a string of curses under his breath, he moved forward.

Suddenly there she was. Staring him in the face.

So of course he did what his reputation required him to do; stare her down. This only lasted a few seconds, since after only moments of contact between her dark eyes and his own deep ocean blue ( now faintly green due to the yellowing) orbs had him cowering.

"You can't fucking be here... You left me back when... No. I just need..."

He then pushed past her, tears forming in the corners of his eyes. Why was his mind so cruel? He was even seeing her now?
