Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The day of course was still in a state of youth but Terrel felt it was still a perfect time to meet up with her again. The sunrise seemed to give the atmosphere a slight dreamy feel, a perfect mesmerising soft glow. Though it was gradual, the motley brute watched the dull radiant sphere rise proudly into. He was engaged in the fascinating scenario. It illuminated the dismal sky, casting early sunbeams upon the land of Blossom Forest. It moved so slowly but each time he happened to glance away from the morning sun and looked back again, it seemed to have advanced further into the sky. It was true that beautiful things never seemed to last long… he could only hope that Mae had seen it. He inhaled deeply, closing his eyes loosely as he lifted his head to drink the gold droplets of sunlight that warmed his multi-hued body. The air was fresh, pungent with the early morning scents, land woken by the soft chirping of birds as they soared through the sky with a flawless grace. It was a perfect morning for a perfect greeting. When would she come? Would she actually come? He deeply hoped so…

A smile graced his kissers… Her soft perfume tainted the fresh air like a thin sprinkling of snow. With a sharp breath, he quickly glanced over his body, checking to see that the previous blood of his meals did not taint his motley fur. It was a precious feeling that entered his mind as he detected her familiar scent so close to him again. The fact that she had decided to come startled him, he hadn’t been a good friend to her at all… The conversational topics had always been about his issues – well he could change that. Without a moment of hesitation, the brute leapt to his paws watching as she gracefully advanced forward. When she stood, he wasn’t certain what to do in terms of greeting; it had been so long… The boy inhaled deeply, hazel eyes falling upon her dusty bodice. He had almost forgotten how beautiful she was, how much elegance she withheld. Her vocals produced only a single word – his name – but he was immediately entranced with her soft librettos as they fell upon his ears. “Mae,” he replied. His ears flickered backwards as she whined; face creasing in silent concern.

The brute moved. He no longer cared about the rules of ‘correctly’ greeting his friend. He did not stop to consider how Mae would react to his choice, but Terrel allowed his muzzle to rest upon the back of her grey neck; his chest pressing against her side. The sensation of being so close to her again sent coils of shudders down his spine. A tingling sensation flooded through his back as he inhaled her familiar scent. “I’ve missed you so much, Mae…” He whispered. His words were released with a flow of warm breath from his jaw gap. Terrel felt as though he could have remained there for the rest of the day, basking in the gentle warmth of sunlight as they continued in their long-overdue embrace.

But finally after a slight hesitation, he forced himself to break away. He blinked slowly as if he hardly dared to believe that he was actually in the presence of Mae. “Are you alright, Mae? How have you been lately?” He inquired in low baritones that rolled smoothly from his parted maw. He stepped backwards, shyly glancing into the distance. His gaze focused upon the sunset that highlighted the land. “I love the dawn…” He had been waking up in the early hours quite frequently; Terrel found that since he no longer resided in the security of a pack he was much more wary about being so exposed. But at least nothing bad had happened to him… so far.

“I’m sorry.” He sighed, eyes fluttering onto her face. “I would have called sooner…”

'revolutionaries wait
for my head on a silver plate
just a puppet on a lonely string
oh who would ever want to be king?'

readers note;; terrel is an unsual character, disorientated from a broken background. he is gentle and kind, though wary towards brutes above the age of two years. when older he will be less confused and more sure of himself, he will gain confidence and go on to raise a treasured family...
