Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

After his early morning trek to the boarder and back, Sin was parched! Oportet aqua, Sinclair thought in latin. It was his first language, so his thoughts were in Latin, but the meaning was 'Need water' in the Moladion language. Sin sighed in relief when he was finally at a fresh water pool that was slightly inland from the salt water canal before the sea. Sin closed his eyes happily as he lapped up the water. When he opened his eyes, he watched the ripples cause by his tongue vanished. His eyes widened in surprise at the image the water showed him. He leaned away from the water, and the wolf under the water did the same. Sin then leaned closer, to the wolf, and it also leaned towards him. Was this what a 'reflection' was? Was he gazing at himself?

Sin was fascinated! He had never seen himself before. His face was the purest of white and his soft, puppy fur made his ears look a bit to large for his head. His eyes were violet with halos of red around each one. He swished his tail happily, noting the black tip on it and on his rear toes. Unfortunately, he couldn't see the silver that dusted his neck and back nor the patch of cinnamon between his shoulder blades.

He did, however, observed his narrow chest and that his paws appeared twice as large as they ought to be for his size. Despite the disproportion, though, his puppy-like features made him look rather attractive. Sinclair move his black nose closer to the water, examining himself closely. A bit too closely, and he accidentally stuck his nose into the water and inhaled at the same time.

Immediately, Sin snorted outwards, causing water to splash is muzzle as he raised his head and back away from the river in a sneezing-coughing fit. The burning, tingling sensation left in his throat and nasal cavities caused him to swiped at his muzzle and nose with the side of his right paw in attempt to clear the feeling from him. He snorted when he recovered and laid his ears partially backwards in annoyance as he bent to lap up more water to sooth his burning throat.
