The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

OOC - first and foremost... I almost cried when I read Zev's post because it was so cute and adorable.

I, I don't know. We-uh. His words were stutters and unhelpful, but as soon as Hellene uttered her mother's riddle, Zev nodded, understanding it immediately. Apparently he had spent much time with her sister if such a rhyme unfazed him. Finally, his eyes raised and met her amber gaze, the ghost of a smile meeting his lips, a glimmer of hope finally alit within him. Cavern of Secrets. That is where we must go. Or, are you coming with me? Hellene pinned her auds and slitted her orbs. "Don't be daft, you fool! Of course I'm coming with you. You aren't out of hot water yet... just showing up and finding her won't knock any sense into her mind. You will need me if you want any chance of finally unlocking her heart." Without waiting for his reply, she took off, heading to the Caverns.

Her head was all aswirl, a plethora of emotions running through her. She was loathe to leave the borders of Aurora Borealis because she didn't want to put too much distance between her and her pups, especially after Khaleesi had been kidnapped by the bastard of Malignant Felicity. She felt a bit better now that Kalgalath seemed to return to his former activity and glory... and also because her pups had officially met Magic. The fae was most trusted by Kalgalath and was strong and a good fighter... she would not doubt care for Hellene's pups should anything befall her. But she was also loathe to go to the Cavern of Secrets because of her sister.

Lasting feelings of betrayal and abandonment still lingered, along with a feeling of failure. If Hellene was more graceful and less clumsy, Athene would have taken her along for the adventure... but Hellene was the one who tended to get the two of them into trouble and Athene had always had to save her. How far they had come now, with their roles reversed. The timberess had left Spring Grounds when Athene had not returned, returning the betrayal in a sort. And now it was Athene who was in trouble, albeit not physical harm that threatened her, but emotional harm. Heart break was looming on the horizon. It was that single thought that fueled her and pushed her to run so fast, and somehow her paw managed to rise off of the earth high enough so that she would not trip. For once, she would be the savior. This was her chance to pay her sister back and thank her for all of the times that Athene had been there for her. She would not fail her. She could not fail her.

The trip to the caverns was all too quick and all too long, the contradictions in her mind confusing her, and she stopped at the mouth of the cavern, the darkness of the cavern sudden and complete. Turning to face Zev, she nodded - it was his turn to take the lead. Though the ess knew sure enough where these caverns were located, she had never traversed them before. "Lead on dear brute. I hope that you remember the way."
