The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

am i a monster when i sink my teeth into her?

It was seldom that she took the time to enjoy the outside world; it seemed like months since she had explored the realms outside of her home. She had been busy devouring and starving in preparation for her children and with their coming, she had been even busier attempting to raise acceptable offspring. Such tasks left little time to truly do as she pleased; she had been a slave to her femininity, and finally she was free enough to go against it. No longer was she bedraggled from her birthing, and no longer was she forced to feed her children at such ridiculous intervals. Yes, she could finally explore and spend her time more leisurely, freeing herself from the borders of Iromar with a howl of excitement and anticipation; it was the howl of the hunt.

The land smelled as fresh as ever, saturated with the aromas of children and new, untouched wolves. It seemed loners had poured into the lands endlessly, relentlessly searching for somewhere to call home; they were... annoying, yes. They took food and provided little more than fodder for the ravens come the day they fall a little hard. It just seemed so illogical that they would choose a life prone to failure and yet, she couldn't help but be thankful that day. After all, she had not left Iromar simply for the pleasure of new leaves but rather for the pleasure of new flesh, flesh she had yet to taste the sweetness of. Pups seemed more difficult to find, their scents seemingly isolated towards the pack boundaries; by her culture, she was not permitted to cull children but their weak mothers? Oh, there was nothing stopping her from that.

With a stomach that thrashed with selfish hunger, she prowled through the Crags as a dark shadow, the black of her fur a seemingly bottomless pit beneath the sun. It had been a long time, yes, but she was feeling awfully alive; her skin prickled in excitement, her tongue rolling across her muzzle as hunger drove her. In the distance, she could see another pale and slight as she flopped about the ground. For a moment, Lillith merely stood at a distance, inhaling the scents of the flowers and the female; Spirane, she was, the scent of rock and Moonglow thick upon her as a cloak. What a shame for lately, Spirane had been under threat by Iromar's ally - Purge. The woman had intended to rip the Queen from its throne and take it for herself... Lillith could not disagree with such a sentiment. But there were more... subtle ways to show such a thing.

With a gruff exhale, she relaxed her muscles, allowing her features to settle into a lazy, effortless grin - she almost looked sweet, with sharp girlish features and a body that reeked of motherhood. Slowly, she ambled forward towards the female, her tail waving so slowly behind her before she halted; she always kept her position tactical. She positioned herself so that she blocked the exits or the quickest escape route, though she stood aside somewhat to slacken her threatening actions. Instead, she merely appeared to be a passerby, head tilted in curiosity of the woman's seemingly playful nature.

"The world is a beautiful thing, isn't it?"

She queried the girl, her lips pulling up into a grin. Yes, she felt like... playing today though her game was much, much different.
