Swollen sides, she felt so much bigger than she actually was. But then again, that came along with the joys of becoming a mother. She only hoped that once the puppies were born, she didn’t have to deal with Nathaniel. Because of the way he treated her she was far more likely to get along with a murderer, rather than him. He had used her, treated her like she was fragile glass, gotten what he wanted and snuck away like the coward he was, and she was not afraid to let him know that, should she see him any time soon. She would raise these babies all on her own, and do just fine without him. She didn’t need him. She tried to act like she didn’t need anyone, but she knew she needed someone to help her in the future, because she would be tending to the puppies and she wouldn’t be able to go hunting for the food that she would need to keep up her own strength, let alone keep up her nutrients to feed the puppies. She hoped that she would be able to count on her packmates to help should she need it.
The sound of steps heading her way caught her attention, and her mismatched eyes lifted from the ground, spotting the black and tan male walking her way, she wondered silently who he was, but the thoughts seemed to dim a little as he got closer. She tilted her head to the side as she watched him, smiling softly as he got closer. “Hi”
