The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Solitaire was happy enough with how his own life was going, even if it was less than eventful sometimes. That didn't upset him at all, for he liked his downtime. Of course it was in those moments he thought about life, wondered where Striker was and what she was doing, but all was quiet on that front, too. She did not seem like the type to be around much and Solitaire had accepted that. One of the very few females that didn't make him uncomfortable, and the only one not related to him, and she was often no where to be seen. It was a confusing thing, but he thought it better to ignore the entire situation when he could. But silence was not one to allow it for too long.

Everything else was good. He had his home, his healing skills, his brother around... yeah, he was happy where he was at. He tended the wounds of those within Glorall when needed, and was willing to do more than those tasks if needed. Keeping an eye on the border, maybe if Achlys needed help with the pups eventually he could watch over them, whatever odds and ends were there for him to pick up. Plants and herbs had been all sorted within his den, and he was happy with how it looked now. It had an interesting smell to it for all that he had stuffed into the place, but he supposed that was what a healer ought to smell like. Herbs and flowers and whatever else.

He felt so sure that Malleah would be in the grotto, so he didn't even think to look elsewhere for her. All the tunnels and hideaways in the place was probably a nice thing for a small female like Malleah was. Of course he also wasn't aware of the whole group thing that had happened within the place in the Spring either. So when his tail was nipped, he jumped with a yelp, spinning around to face whomever had gotten to him. When he realized it was Malleah he huffed, hearing her laughter and giving her a grumpy face. "Here I am, coming to see if you've healed up, and you go and bite me on the tail. Ingrate." He huffed, but the last part was said in a more joking tone.
