Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Sabriel wandered through the trees, letting his thoughts run amok and debating on what he should do today. He had hunted a hare this morning, so his belly wasn't grumbling at him for food, and he was feeling discontent on the whole gypsy thing, since it was going nowhere. There was only his accomplice and brother, Kellin, but the male was here and there lately. Probably lost in thought and wondering about the imprint thing. It was a new concept to the younger male, and Sabriel had little information to go on in any specific way. Sure, he had his own imprint now, but it was... strange. Not something he had been thinking about much at all when he was growing up. He had been betrothed almost after being born as it was.

For him, it wasn't a big deal after the fact. He of course wanted to keep Anemone safe and make sure she wasn't hurt, but her life was her own and Sabriel wasn't really feeling the whole surrogate family thing with someone he'd just met. He was grateful for the color sight that he had gained from meeting his imprint, but what else was he suppost to do about the situation? He still felt more or less bound to Micteca, even if he had been absent for years. That did not erase what he felt in his heart, even if the call of being a gypsy seemed to be too strong to settle down with. That couldn't be helped; Sabriel had been a gypsy from birth, raised with the group that had since vanished from Moladion. Maybe they wanted to wander away for bit, too.

That he could understand, but it did not make him wish they were here any less. Perhaps there would never be a group like there used to be, but Sabriel still didn't think he could just be in a pack like everyone else. He wanted to roam around too much. Like now, where he could go into any of the neutral areas whenever he wanted to without thinking about anyone else needing him to do pack things. But the gypsies used to just go here and there, to keep moving together. It had been his family, and he missed it all. There was no one left of his own blood aside from Kellin and Aleron that he knew, and no other gypsies to say so. So the strange, too tall, too skinny wolf wandered on through the trees, pondering these things.
