Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Zelda

Her mother had been sick lately, but Zelda didn’t mind. She was sent off to go play with her sisters and explore on her own and today she decided to go a bit further than perhaps she would have been allowed too. She was always told to stay within the borders of the pack, that she was young, small, but Zelda thought she was fine now, she had certainly grown considerably since those spring days where she had played with Astraea and met that boy puppy Hyrule. Those days had been fun, she really liked Astraea she was different and she had cool stories. She would have to hang out with her again soon, but right now she wanted to explore the free lands. The little russet girl didn’t expect to run into anyone she knew all the way out here it was all so different how could she have suspected it would be anyone else she had met would be here too?

The little girl trotted happily out of the forest, her tail waving above her back lightly as she came out into the sun. Her teal eyes gleamed as they were met with the expanding sky and she couldn’t help but start prancing back into the open area bouncing through the tall grasses and field flowers. She didn’t know exactly where she was going, but her daddy had taught her to follow her own scent back to the den if she got lost and she was good at it so she knew she would be fine! She didn’t want to worry her mom but she had to get out, learn and explore the lands for herself. Hyrule was doing that when he came to Taviora and they explored the forest together why couldn’t she? She was small sure and she wasn’t as old she guessed but her mind was growing bored staying within the forest walls of Taviora. She needed more.

She moved towards the river side, wondering what it was called and where she was at. She hadn’t seen such a big stream before! No real rivers ran through Taviora, mostly just small brooks and streams and she wasn’t near the ocean. This was the biggest body of water she had ever seen and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to walk down into it and swim or watch. It looked like it moved a lot faster and stronger than the little streams after all. The little girl stared watching for several moments seeing the large fish swim in the water. It was so interesting these places outside the forest and she was happy to finally be able to learn something new and the little light princess was sure there was only more to learn out there.
