The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Iscariot had to get out more these days. It was a true enough fact, because he had been feeling so out of it when it came to his personal life. What he had found out and how it was messing with his head. He had been worried, and now he just needed to get back into his usual routine. Go out into the neutral lands in hopes to gather more information that could eventually be of some use to him. This was something he had finally pushed himself to do today, though perhaps it was out of bad judgement. Still, he needed to soak in some information that did not affect him in the same way that learning about Covet did. All the things that he now knew was still hard to manage. He had to go on as if nothing had happened, because what other valid way was there? He had already chosen his lifestyle, how he wanted to be. And he had gotten near comfortable with not knowing his own background.

Either way, he still had a job, a duty to Aithne and the pack. That he would not allow himself to fail at. Not for such personal problems and the ones he did not even wish to face. If he had to deal with it later, then so be it. Aside from that, he was avoiding the whole matter and keeping to himself too much for it to be healthy. He needed to meet and greet others, see what was going on out there in the neutral lands. Perhaps make new friends and see how that went. He felt no concern for the impending Winter, because he felt no urges during it before to much degree, and he doubted he would feel anything this time. Besides, he would not think in that way until he had reached a higher point in the pack, because until then he would not think of himself as worthy. He had to be in the right place on so many levels before he could even fathom anything other than just being.. as he was.

The grotto was a gathering place for some, and today it did seem to have a group of wolves there. Maybe someone had called to meet others for some reason, because the scents were varied of packs and loners, and nothing really stood out as majority here. Plus, Paldor was pretty much at the middle of the entire thing, so Riot went over to the white male and gave a friendly smile to him. "Hey. What's going on here?" Might as well ask and see if the male knew anything about it, or if Paldor had somehow gathered the wolves here for something. Yes, Riot knew he had to speak to Paldor alone soon, but he was dreading that moment. He did not want to lose Paldor's friendship, but he felt that when they next spoke, that would be the outcome. It made Riot's stomach feel twisted into knots as he stood there; glancing at all the others before his gaze came back to rest on Paldor.
