Taika came back to the ground and spun on her paw, instantly in a play bow, her face never lacking her joyful smile. She glanced quickly over the male. It never occurred to her to check for dominance, strength, brutality, or danger. Her eyes only sought to see if he could come with her down her path of fairy-tales. For being as small and petite as she was, she was difficult to frighten.
”Your fairies?” Her voice was a mock challenge, just as his approach had been a mock scare. ”I don’t think the spirits would take so kindly to being claimed!” Paws pounded the ground with the need to move. Excitement and energy were her constant fuel. She jumped to and fro before trotting around him, her tail wagging marrily. ”I would never eat them. Merely snap!” The tip of her tail flicked at Edrick’s face. She pranced away for a moment before freezing and looking over her shoulder at him. Eyes narrowed at him. ”Unless you are trying to eat them.”
With no warning at all, the petite pixie launched herself over Edrick. She landed with a pivot and a gracelessness that almost looked purposeful. Her nose in the dirt, she scrambled back to her feet and snatched a stick into her jaws.
”I wuff fry fo befend fem!” Growling a sound that still rang of good humor and mirth, she shook her head and stick at him. Gold laced eyes look up at his lavender, her spirit dancing through them. There was nothing but the love of life that came from her soul.
