aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

wolf

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

Ashen auds focused forwards as the yellow lanterns watched the mottle knight go by her. “Sebring?” She whimpered trying to tell him where she was. She hadn’t left, she had just hidden herself. She didn’t want to be the target of anyone’s anger about her almost following Kalgalath into the territory. Her auds swiveled towards the shaking shrubbery. His grey nose poked through the brush finding her scent. His head came through and more of his torso shortly after. He leaned and pushed the shrubs aside, “What is wrong, Sebring? Why did you not follow?” Sebring’s golden portals looked into his icy pools, confused by his question.

Her head tilted sideways, but she said nothing. Kalgalath was too deep in his thoughts to notice anything she said. The cogs of his inner mind were turning and he seemed to be battling with the idea of something. “Kalgalath? Is everything okay? I wa-wasn’t trying to leave you, it’s just, well, I can’t cross the line cause I’m not a pack member…” She looked at him, her words falling like water but barely more than a whisper. She dipped her crown and slinked past him into the open air. Her fragility became more and more obvious to her. She pressed against her mottled knight as she passed by him to take a bit of strength. She raised her head and turned to him as he spoke. “I’m sorry, Sebring… I was not even thinking. I… well I am a ranked wolf here. You are allowed across the boundary, you do not have anything to worry about.” His words drifted to her audits and she nodded quietly and started to walk towards the trees again.

Sebring turned to look at Kalgalath. Was is it just her imagination but it seemed her mottled knight was standing a bit taller and prouder? She watched him waiting for him to catch up to her. Her mind wandered quietly as she walked towards the border again. Shouldn’t the alpha still accept me? I shouldn’t be granted full access should I? Is Kalgalath not telling me something..? She looked back, her golden lights focusing on his grand figure, his muscles rippling under his pelt—his sleek, shinny fur. She smiled as she watched him. A warmth spread from her nares to the tip of her tail and smiled wider. She was starting to understand these glimpsing heat strokes, she had crush, on Kalgalath.

His electrifying touch could soothe her in her worst moments and comfort her in darkest depths of the night. She wanted him by her side every possible second, but how could he ever want a girl like her. Sebring looked over her ragged body and sighed, “He would never want me…” she whimpered quietly to herself.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
