Nakato
nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky |
Not long after her own howl had ended another song echoed far off. The reply was straight to the point I am coming. Wait for me. Nakato nodded her head and yawned deeply, the bite of the crisp airing snapping at her teeth. The white rolling hills before her stretched out for miles and for a moment she did not see a single soul. But after several minutes a dark figured moved with poise and grace over the snow. She took her time, carefully placing each step before the other. No tail was raised and her demeanor seemed neutral but the aura that followed her was almost overwhelming. The druid wolf couldn’t hold back the shudder that ran down her spine. She knew a thing or two about the auras each wolf possessed, her own being that of a soft cerulean. The queen who padded towards her had that of a royal purple. It wasn’t dangerous, but it was powerful and Nakato found her bobtail trying in vain to tuck beneath her belly. At last, she had arrived in all her glory. Of course, the first thing Nakato noticed was the horrible scaring along Tick Tock’s face. She kept her face the same in the hopes the alpha didn’t see her staring and bowed her head in respect. ”Greetings, my lady. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nakato, a druid from the far north. I have come here because I believe that your pack is a strong one and a good place to make my new home. As with any wolf, I desire a safe haven and companionship. In return, I offer my services to you.” she began, her voice like sweet like honeysuckle. All the while her adorable bobtail wagged a little as a continued sign she was no threat. At first she had been intimidated by the queen, but the more she stood before her the more the fear faded and the respect grew. ”I am a talented healer. I know much about herbs and can heal many illnesses and wounds. I can promise you, I will keep your wolves healthy and strong.” Her lengthy introduction was completed and with that she fell silent as Tick Tock absorbed the information. She waited while the wolfess judged her, hoping she met her expectations. |
