Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

What seemed like an eternity had passed since the ashen girl had happened upon her mottled knight. She knew he had responsibilities and duties to up hold and commit to. She after all, wasn’t his mate. She, as of current notice was still the ash covered girl running and recovering from her past. And she couldn’t deny any of it, but even with her courter amiss she couldn’t hide the heat in her cheeks and girlish grin plastered on her face at the thought of him. He was her light and reason to live. That was fairly obvious to her and anyone who happened upon her, not that many had. She had yet to meet many of the pack members and of those she had, she could only have hoped to present a decent image. She was still recovering and she was no less traumatized by her past, but she kept herself up and running. She always had Kalgalath to return to.

Sebring had begun to dig up old habits and polish her lacking skills for surviving. Her hunting still mainly consisted of small rabbit and the occasional bird she managed to catch before they took off. Her ashen pelt was thickening and her summer coat had finally come back but winter was already approaching and so she was a bit behind on the necessary undercoat. The chilled gusts of wind were a constant reminder that she was currently alone, but the thought of Kalgalath and his den could warm her in an instant. And with all the hunting skills she was trying to regain, she had begun to regain her strength. She felt her muscles rebuilding and her strength slowly returning. Sebring was nowhere near the strength of the average she-wolf but she was training in little bursts. Her hunting expeditions could last much longer and she could travel farther! She had even managed to venture outside of the pack once more. Not for a lack of near mental breakdowns… She was gaining back her physical appearance and strengths but she couldn’t seem to move beyond her past. It was as if the hounds of hell still nipped at her heels, day and night. Without Kalgalath her visions had gained their clarity once again, and her father’s vivid, bloody eyes were constantly staring her down from the inside and the shadows. He was everywhere again, but Sebring tried with all her might to fight him back, shove him back into the abyss that Kalgalath had so easily opened. But each day it became harder and harder and she lost a little more control each time.

Sebring had been back in the packlands for a couple of days and she still couldn’t seem to find anyone in the maze of Aurora Borealis. Her only real comfort was Kalgalath scent that lingered and enveloped the terra. Her lanterns gazed into the extending undergrowth and the feeling of utter aloneness returned. She had to leave. She needed to feel the air of Blossom Forest, the expanse and openness. She needed to let herself go for a little bit. She needed to forget for awhile.

Her ashy paws glided with ease across the land. She had found a few unmarked trails through the terra that lead out in more secluded spots. She enjoyed these little trails. The sound of birds singing in the trees and a brook babbling close by were calming. She welcomed the peace she found in these small sounds, but she needed open air. And it wasn’t long before Sebring found herself outside of the terra and bordering the mountains base. She looked up into the mist. It was like a secretly cloistered place above the earth where gods and mortals roamed alike.

Sebring felt her paws itching for a test and her body needed to feel the ache of tiredness, but in the sense of physical exhaustion. Sebring enjoyed the relaxed feeling she got after a good days work and the mountain climb would be her little test for today. The rocky cliff face loomed above her, threatening her with death defying climbs and jumps but as she traversed the rocky ledges she realized it was only an elusive façade to keep the youngsters at bay. Sebring laughed quietly herself letting the cold air rush into her lungs, letting her body roar back to life. Her golden pools looked skyward once again seeing the mist had dropped beneath her and revealed the palace of limbo. And for the moment it was very quiet. Few couples roamed about and the occasional loner wandered by, but Sebring was unfazed by these events. She was ensnared by the beauty of the land below her. Her rapt attention set solely on the terrain which she called home. Sebring felt her kissers life into a small smile at the grand view, but she needed to rest now. Her body was starved for air and weak with exhaustion. She lowered herself to the ground in a more gentle fashion than most, taking care to not bruise her bones as they had finally healed over. If only Kalgalath was here with me… Sebring set her crown on her paws and stared down into the land hoping she could find her love, but everything was blurry and small. The landscape, once clear had become a misted canvas where nothing stood out, but its beauty was unsurpassed. A gentle breeze came over the cliff’s edge and ruffled her longer summer coat making Sebring shiver at the touch of cold air. How dearly she wished to her mottled knight once again…

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
