I am the hand of God. I am the dark messiah. I am the vengeful one.
Most sane wolves would find it quite chilling to see a pup laugh at the sight of a dead being, whacking its paws upon the passing creature, and yet Nevermore found dead things quite fun. They were still and so she would not have to chase them. They were quiet and so she could drag them into the den and play while Provider, Protector, and Brother slept. Slowly she was developing a sense of delight at the very taste of a dead creature and the innocent pup with milk teeth was slowly developing into a lethal killing machine. Though for now she would remain looking so angelic with that stunning dark face, framed with stunning silver fur, as she continued to play with Nakatos’ kill. Though her time of fun was ruined the moment Nakato spoke. Innocently the Asteraian Princess looked up at the bob-tailed wolf, her dark ears pricked forward with interest as her emerald eyes, touched with her Mother’s dark blue hue, stared up at the druid. Puzzled as to why this wolf would ask to kill seemed very...unnatural. On hunts with the Provider there was no asking for the prey to die. Tilting her dial to the side her soft gargling voice trickled out her inquiry.
“Mother and Father do not ask for life....they kill....why do you ask?”
It was a very good question, she thinks, and she ignores the dead fish in this moment. Provider did not allow them to wander too far without her dark eyes upon them. Always she was told that others would harm them, not the wolves that smell like them, but the others on the outside. Yet Nakato carried the familiar fragrance of Provider and Protector, and since she was alive, that meant this wolf could be trusted. Slowly she begins to walk towards the woman extending her neck as her cheek rubbed up and down the woman’s front left foreleg, mixing her scent with hers, and she continues to walk underneath her. Playfully she begins to march out from under Nakato and then back in, going inside and outside her front legs in a playful manner. Though her dark ears remained pointed towards her, to let the woman know she was at least paying attention, even if she didn’t necessarily act like it. Though at the request of her name the clever and demented child placed her small body in front of the woman. Softly, in an eerily chant like way, the girl would whisper her name, that would one day, be whispered upon all that would fear her.
“Nevermore....Nevermore...Nevermore...”
Do not be fooled by her odd mannerism. She may be a child of Tobias, but she was blessed with the cleverness of her Mother. She was not a dumb animal. She was brilliant and all would come to understand that they shouldn’t judge her on actions alone. Within her veins were generations and generations of Alphas and if she did not have a Mother like Tick Tock, then perhaps she would be Tobias incarnate. She would become her own Monster, one day, but for now she will be the odd puppy of Asteraia. Innocent so very innocent, a glimpse of she would have become, and yet, she was fated to go down a very dark path. Yet that didn’t mean she had to be alone, she was allowed to have friends, and she thinks Nakato would be a good friend, like Favorite. Looking at the bob-tailed wolf and back to the fish she answered honestly, creepily, but honestly.
“Itttt’sssssss deeeeeaaaadddd.”
