Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Their shared den had masked the stench of sickness and decay but as he trails behind her it stings his nostrils. They flare and his eyes shine with a certain deranged light. To him she cannot be sick because the Shade uncoils and perks up through the flashing shadows beneath his silver fur as it scents a new prey. He shoves the slick feeling down inside of him as a lip reveals a fang and his pace quickens to her side. In the sharp contrast of day he is struck by her. The lack of beauty that has always been a beacon to him: she has eroded and become listless. A disease snakes through her and fury burns within him that it dare touch her.

She was HIS.

Those words had always been in his mind, carved so deep in his psyche that nothing could undo it. She had stopped struggling many years ago and returned his affections. All had been well, the duo wiping out whoever the Shade willed. Now it was scenting her blood, rising in desire for her, and Underidge was struck by how disgusting it was. Because he would not allow it yet it hisses into his mind, grips his very organs with talons of hellfire and ash. It is a soul eater and hers now seems within reach.

Her eyes are glazed and she stares ahead. Her refusal to acknowledge him spikes torment within him, a rising wave of anger at disobedience and an actual flutter of fear. It is her words that stop him dead. Atlas - that was the name that male had called himself forever ago when Underidge had stepped up and claimed her as his mate. Achilles - the name of her father, a father he had drilled out of her. Names spill over and over and she doesn't stop, the distance expanding between them until he cannot contain it. The pressure within and the pressure without collide as he jolts forward with a snarl and slams his shoulder into her side to try and stop her straight target. "No, you are mine!" The words are snarled as he presses his face into hers, denying her sudden return to... sanity? Enlightenment? No!
