Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

the same old fears, wish you were here

The more time he spent with Celeste, with their children, the more he came to accept and understand. Enderly still struck him as dangerous, as manipulative and shrewd, but he hadn't tried anything further when he came to visit his son. The fact that Shadowstorm was not his still struck him with a certain sort of sadness, but he couldn't hold it against the boy, and he had long since forgiven Celeste. She was his now, fully, as he was hers. And despite the rather awkward arrangement with the shadowy male, Nord was happy. He felt Celeste lean up against him as he walked, their pups in toe, sans Paschar. Or Possum, as he was calling himself now. The male was unsure what had caused such anger to breed inside of him, and it was worrisome to note that he seemed to sequester himself away from the family more and more as time went on. He wondered if he should be doing something differently.

Pascal, however, was a different story- she seemed to be perfectly content coming along with her brothers. A slight smile crossed his face- the boys were all so protective of her, it seemed like no one would ever be able to harm a hair on her head. Despite their parentage he cared for both his adoptive children as his own, and Shadowstorm as well. They had not chosen the circumstances of their birth, and they deserved all the love that he could give. Nord tried his best not to play favorites, but little Rurik reminded him so much of himself that at times he let the boy get away with things that he shouldn't. Like playing in the mud. He wasn't muddy now- Celeste had made sure of that- but it was only a matter of time before he found some way to get dirty. Wrangling five pups was no easy task.

He stopped alongside of Celeste, a grin stretching across his face when she spoke. "Listen to your mother, you four. Okay? I don't want to have to drag any of you back here by the ear." Nord feigned a stern expression- certainly a lot less convincing than his mate's- before Celeste lifted her muzzle to call for her family. Even though he had missed out on meeting her parents, he was happy that he would be meeting her brother and his children, perhaps more of her relatives should they choose to come. His large ears swiveled to catch a returned call, though the voice was unfamiliar to him. Soon a star-marked male approached them, bearing the scattered white dots of Celeste's family.

Nord smiled as he greeted them, although he had not introduced himself he dipped his head to the male all the same. The question earned a chuckle as he glanced at his children who had likely scattered and probably disobeyed Celeste immediately. "Yes, they are. Little troublemakers. But they are rather cute." He laughed again, as he tried to pinpoint where exactly they all had run off to. From what he understood Celeste's brother also had a litter this year, and he wondered how terribly crazy it would be with so many pups here.
