After going down Aplos a ways she curved back around back north. During her time wondering she thought maybe it would be best to curve back into Asteraia first. She wasted a good day's time doing this, evening was cresting over the horizon and she had to run most the way to make it to Asteraia before night completely fell. She had seen the monster sized black bear that invaded her land, and heard tales of the golden one that Tithe and her cousin, Teza had run into. She wasn’t about to take any chances on her own… She didn’t want an array of guards with her for this. There was no need she thought.. Or at least hoped. Orifel she knew was back in Diveen and he if no one else would vouch for her and perhaps help her out if something went poorly. She hadn’t heard from him since his brother’s death, but she hoped that he was still amiable to helping her.
She was breathless now though. Panting and looking back out into the fields she had crossed into to get here. It had been a long time since she had been in Asteraia, but it looked almost the same as the last she had come with Hyrule and when they met the Monster. Her mind went to the trinkets that were offered to them, that still were placed on her den wall around the roots, but she remembered there was no monster here anymore. Instead it was her uncle who reclaimed the land that was rightfully their family’s. Her grandfather had established the land, Jaidah had taken it over then the Monster, now it was in the paws of her family once more though as she stood panting and catching her breath on the border she noticed it wasn’t her uncle’s scent that marked the way.
She was caught by surprise for a moment, of course she knew it was likely that this scent was Aster’s. She couldn’t recall ever meeting his mate, but his smell was still around, just it wasn’t the markers she was smelling. Her ears twitched slightly listening for what was around her but worry gripping her slightly. What had happened to Halcyon? She sniffed the ground around her dirty paws, noticing how much of a mess she must have looked from her long run across the lands. She felt it, badly. Her muscles were so sore and stiffening slowly from it and she still was trying to catch her breath. The feathering behind her legs were slightly tangled and some burs and other debri were caught up in it as well.
It was just her uncle and his family. She reminded herself. She didn’t need to look perfect. Still she couldn’t stop herself from sitting down and trying to at least pluck the twigs and scattered burs from her front legs before continuing on. Not to mention catch her breath. She was safe here she knew she was, there was nothing to worry about. She would talk to Aster and Halcyon, get some rest here then cross the borders and meet with Orion in the morning. Easy as that.
