Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She knew it would not take him long to sense her presence. Like a second heartbeat she felt him, sensed his thoughts and the lingering of emotions on his soul. He was at peace here... happy to say the least. No doubt Inanna had something to do with it, and Talien truly hoped so. Thor deserved happiness, even if she herself would never find it. Though she did not know very much about the pale woman who loved her imprint... she knew enough to tell that the feeling was mutual and true. Often times, despite the distance that separated them, she could feel the sense of fulfillment that surrounded Thor and the deep rooted love that enveloped his very heart. She might have a part of his soul... but it was heart just as her own that ruled her mind and spirit.

He comes to her now with an energy to his step that secretly she envies. Perhaps one day she would find it again, but for now it had gone away when she learned of Dexter's choice. His black tail wagged excitedly as he come to a halt before her, his bright eyes dancing with a mixture of relief and delight. She knew it was perhaps odd to have come all this way at such a random time... but well honestly... she needed to feel... something.

"Thor." she barks, unable to hide the pleasure and delight from her own voice as instinctively she closes the distance between them, brushing her slim muzzle against his own in a genuine display of affection. Not the affection she had once reserved for Dexter... but affection none the less. Thor was like a brother to her... and Inanna, though she only knew Thor's feelings of her through their bond, was like a sister.

The warmth of his skin is intoxicating. A welcome reprieve to the cold damp of her own lonely den. It had been such a long time since last she felt true contact with another and she missed it. But she would not dare to interfere between her imprint and his mate's bond. With an awkward smile she dips her head and lets her thick plume wag gently. "Sorry... its been so long since I saw you I guess I got a little carried away." she teases, giving him a playful wink before allowing a soft toned gentle laugh to echo from her lungs, brilliant silver blue eyes dancing happily.

However, when he mentions the forest... Talien falters. How could she answer that? She wanted to tell him everything... to tell him of her love for Dexter... and ultimately, her rejection... to tell him about her decision to return for her children's sake and seek his advise... but she didn't even really know where to truly begin. It was all a lot to swallow... especially after so long apart and so much to catch up on.

Instead, she offers him a planted smile, throwing up a mask of character and responding smoothly, "The forests are well.. I have always preferred to live beneath the shadows and shade of the trees." she teases, her long silver white tail wagging happily back and forth as he steps aside and tilts his head towards the ocean waters. It felt good not to have to use words with him... though surely the look of admiration for the ocean is plainly written upon her face... still, it is a relief to be invited without having to use so many words. The sand beneath her toes is pliable, much different than the snow sogged earth of the forests or the thick muck mud that lines the swelling riverbanks. The sand is soft, warm even where the waves cannot quite reach it and she cannot help but to feel a sudden peace overwhelm her.

She turns back to him now, her startling silver blue eyes gazing warmly at him, finding comfort in the peace that radiated from his soul. "What about you Thor? How have you been? How is Inanna? I am quite fond of her as I know you are" she says with a lighthearted laugh, "Perhaps there are some things that our bond allows us to share." she remarks, a playful gleam dancing in her eyes...
