He stares at the body in the tree, although he is still not within the borders of the Ridge exactly - it was near enough that he worries for those who might live in the surrounding area. It was concerning for he and Charybdis alone, her pregnant with his foal and him not established in a herdland enough to give her safety other than what his own body could offer.
The style is that of his soulsharer, a jaguar. One time long ago he and those marked like him in his deep-jungle homeland were revered as having powers to commune with these creatures - but he had always known better. There was nothing grass could say to stop a horse in need of sustenance - there was nothing prey could say to predator to stop its inevitable progress into a hunt.
He flattens his ears, listening to the surroundings suddenly far more keenly than he’d originally done. The scent here was dim enough that the beast had not been here in a while, but it also meant that as the scent faded - the cat was more likely to return to it’s meal.
So he whinnies, calls to the interior of the Ridge, informs them of the danger and moves on with swift motions - zigging and zagging to thwart easy access to his back from above in the branches - racing to find Charybdis before the creature found her without him there. Morning excursions would be at a halt from now on..
