As evening set, the red clouded mare hoofed it to home. The way the ocean manipulated this land made its pathways confusing, so it wouldn't surprise her if this was only the first of many occasions when she would find herself geographically challenged. As the correct beige landscape dryly stretched out before her, the mare sighed with relief...then with agony, for she quickly remembered the stubborn stead who would be waiting here, possibly with many others. His presence alone put her off to meeting and greeting any others of his land, possibly as willing to be there as she was, but she proceeded onward despite, for his perplexing attitude was as a gem in the mud that she wanted to wipe clean for its transparent surface.

As sand hugged every heavy step, she breathed in the raw warmth of the earth. She must have entered at an odd angle, for she could see no near by tracks of hooves leading to the center of this home. And she had expected to maybe see some of Nimbus' followers cascading down the tumbling slopes, for even a spare horse must peruse this far every now and again. But for the longest stretch, it seemed, no one greeted her.

As the sun began to leave with red regret filling the sky, the mare finally heard something other then shifting sands; water. Clashing tides met her eager ears, and soon she dove forward with filly like glee, rounding the tallest null in the dune patch without looking up at it or the tree that stood oddly at its center. She plummeted into the afternoon waves, instantly being slowed down by their forceful welcome, and a high pitched whiny of excitement escaped her at the water's unexpected chill. Her nerves felt jolted into awareness and life, and she could feel her breath begin to shake as the temperature consumed her.

This was a nice land...and she was enjoying it.
