Good day, Weather.

Do you ever talk to non-agency biologists who have looked for cougars in the Northeast but can't find them? I know a half-dozen research biologists independent of the agencies who could considerably notch their careers and bolster their accomplished resumes who would love to find cougar evidence.

Biologists from the University of Missouri, Cornell University, SUNY ESF, Wildlife Conservation Society (read the Bronx Zoo), and the NY State Museum (unaffiliated with the NYSDEC) conducted a massive carnivore study in the Adirondacks using wildlife cameras and track traps at 54 locations and analyzed over 600 carnivore scats. But they found no cougar evidence.
