For a moment Taika was taken aback by the colt’s reaction. More surprised by the toss of his head and his appearance than anything. Dark chocolate eyes widened in interest as she studied his face and body. It seemed like every day the world gave her something new and exciting to explore and learn about. Nothing seemed impossible as she looked into Skoll’s golden and blue eyes. Clearly whichever gods did rule the worlds loved it so much they were determined to create the wonders and diversity that created beauty and power in all forms.
He relaxed after she surprised him and she too transformed back to her playful, relaxed self. She smiled as he circled around her and spoke. His words though, was cause for concern. The waters she had experienced had been nothing but kind. She had learned to avoid the area just before the falls, the tug of the currents too eager to call her over the edge. Her gaze followed his as his neck arched around her. The ocean? Was that what the water surrounding the island was? The body she had always been tempted to enter, but had the sense not to. Her body trembled with excitement. Had he crossed this water? Was he from somewhere else? Most importantly, could he take her?
”Ocean? No, I have not!” Her body trembled with excitement. ”Is that what the water around the island is?” Ears flicked to him in intense interest. ”Tell me more? Does this ocean need to be conquered?” Her excitement was too much, she trotted around him, her energy bursting. For a moment she stepped out of the stream and kicked up her heels before rushing back to his side and holding herself proud and tall. It was all she could attempt to do to try to look as imposing and strong as he. ”You and I could tell it to obey!”
