my mind's like a deadly disease

It would have been an understatement to say that the Inlet King was pleased with himself. His muscles bunched together as he swam home from the crossing, two new herd members following close behind. When the brute had first arrived in the meadows he had not found much but then the twins had caught his attention. Nymphadora and Zephyra. Dora and Phi as it seemed they prefered to be called. The blue roan and the black tobiano were both lovely to look at though their personalities seemed to be oceans apart from one another. One, a carefree and lighthearted spirit. The other serious and cautious. Oddly, the male wasn’t sure which he prefered. Normally the strength of a mare such as Phi would have pulled him in but there was something about her sister that made him curious. And Orkaan certainly enjoyed anything that sent a spark through his mind.

Together, the three came upon the shore of the inlet, his marvelous kingdom. As they had swam the light began to die in the sky, creating an explosion of colors across the horizon and bathing the water in liquid gold. Although it was summer, the water grew exceedingly colder as they went so that by the time they stepped foot in their home it sent a chill through the behemoth’s limbs and spine. Yet he had missed this so much in his time away. Tinuvel would always be home.

Orkaan twisted his crown around to see his companions. It comforted him to know that they could handle the cold, because they had already lived in it before.

”Welcome to your new home ladies. I hope you will find it to your liking.” Because there’s no where on earth more amazing. he added to himself. Biased though he was, he was sure that they would soon feel the same. Auds flickered as he listened to the sounds around them - it was overall a quiet night. No wolves howling, nor other equines out and about seeking to intrude upon what was his. It seemed their night was likely to be uneventful. A slight smile held to his maw as he led them deeper into the territory.

”I’m very pleased you’ve decided to join me here. I look forward to getting to know each of you better. You are welcome to venture as you will, though I would appreciate you telling me incase anything were to happen.” Because if anyone laid hoof on them they would pay dearly. No one touched what belonged to Orkaan.
