The strange way of the world

He should feel more important now that he had the Bay, but he still felt like a small fish in a big pond. He might have more of a purpose when he finally found some members to offer his home to but for now, his only purpose was to help his sire achieve his goals. That was something at least.

The warm season didn't last long on Tinuvel. Just as he was enjoying the sun and the animals that came with it, everything was beginning to go back into hiding. The squirrels were gathering their nuts in their trees and the bears were finding their spots for hibernation for the coming winter. He figured there were not many big predators on these islands, but he had spotted a bear just a few days ago stalking the forest. It probably came about with the last herd's abandonment before Liland came around.

It seems more animals frequent the Bay then the Inlet. There was more forest here and clean water. It was natural the wildlife stayed close to places they knew that could survive. The snow from the mountains was beginning to spread down to the rest of Tinuvel where Requiem stayed. He tried to keep away from the frost as long as he could, but it soon found its way to him. A new scent traveled down to him from the steep hills nearby.

He immediately begins that way because he did not recognize the female's scent. He was interested to know if she was seeking a home or just passing through. The thought of her being a spy didn't cross his young mind, but it might be something he should start thinking about. Warsaw wasn't exactly a friendly neighbor. He stops when he gets close enough to see who it was walking his home. His eyes lift upwards to the mare above and he greets her with a nicker.
