He wandered the outskirts of the Inlet, unsure of where he needed to be or what he should be doing. He wasn't even sure he was a herd member here anymore, not since Xiomara lost the throne. He didn't know the new lead mare, the one everyone was deferring to at the last meeting, the one who kicked Xiomara out. She was the one who invited him here. Did that mean he should go back to Paradise? Would Solaris and Galexia still be there? He should probably go check on them soon. He did miss his daughter terribly. Would Solaris even let him see her? It wasn't his fault Xiomara traded with Paradise and Rougaru took the trade. He just didn't want to start troubel but lately, it seemed like Solaris was all about the theatrics. She was hurt when he came back to the herd with Xiomara but she came back smelling of another stallion multiple times and he never batted an eye. He was forgiving. Would she be as well? He wasn't even sure what he did wrong. He didn't touch Xiomara like he did with Solaris. They talked and she leaned against him to give him warmth here in the frigid cold of the Inlet, but that's it. She wasn't pregnant with his child. He wasn't even really sure Solaris was. She came back smelling of that stallion and she seemed so desperate to get him to breed with her. He didn't argue with her or try to accuse her of anything. He just wanted to talk, to find out what was going on. She never talked to him anymore, not like she used to. There was so much distance between them now and he hated it. Who would want to confide in you? His jaw clenched at the voice. He stomped the ground and kept walking, wondering if he would run into anyone out here. He needed to keep moving to keep warm.
