I've forgotten what it is to love

There is sorrow perhaps. It does not rule her though. It will pass in time when the fresh wounds in her soul heal. She had been abandoned again. It shouldn't surprise her and yet; it does. Why had she figured that another might maybe stick around this time? She'd taken a liking instantly to the stallion. She had taken a interest in the way he acted. Now; he was gone. Why? What had she done? It could not have even been her doing right? She'd been nothing but kind to him and content in getting to know him. Now; that chance was gone. Why had she been so quick to trust again? Because that is who Aponi was. She was trusting; she was kind. It seemed to get her only to loneliness though.

Perhaps not now. There were others here and she'd taken a chance in approaching one of them. It is not long before they are talking that another approaches. This is a stallion and he seems smitten to Creed. How interesting and yet; his scent is not strong here. Why? Had Creed not called this Forest their home in the past? Had she been with this stallion whom she knows now as Rhoheryn? Perhaps but she does not know. It really didn't matter to be honest. They knew one another and he seemed to be a nice soul. A gentleman. The world needed more of those really.

Hello Rhoheryn. I am Aponi. She pauses there and smiles. Her gaze shifts back to Creed however and she speaks again. I have unfortunately checked everywhere I possibly could. His scent is fading fast and I fear he is no longer among the islands. Would not his scent be there still were he around? It was too faded; too gone already. It pained her heart but it happened. It had in the past as well. Sad really but then, there were plenty of other horses around here. She wasn't really alone. She could get to know others and she could still be a part of this herd; this family here. Right? Where was the harm in that? It seemed pretty populated and well on it's way to being grand. She liked the idea of that. She returns her attention to Rhoheryn again and smiles. She is speaking to them both now though.

I am new to the islands and one by the name of Vercingeterix had been my companion. He had invited me to come to the Forest and I did. Now it seems that he is gone though and I am back to knowing no one really but the two of you now. One of which called elsewhere his home. Did that too mean that maybe Creed didn't call this home? Was she only visiting? Aponi deep down hoped that wasn't the case. She'd already lost one. She didn't particularly care to lose another acquaintance. One really couldn't blame the girl.
